Dr. Aslam Pathan is Consultant Pharmacologist at Prince Hospital, Buldhana, MH, India, and Director, Scientific Research Unit and Faculty of Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the College of Medicine. He received his D. Pharm from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (2005),  bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from University of Pune, India (2008), his Master in Pharmacology (2011) and his Ph.D. in Pharmacy / Pharmacology from the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, India (2017). He is a recipient of Maulana Azad National Fellowship from University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, India (2012).

Dr. Aslam’s research Interest includes neurosciences and neuropharmacology.

Current research activities:
Neurosciences and Neuropharmacology:
1. Assessment and evaluation of new natural/herbal drugs for their anxiolytics, antidepressant activity by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
2. Assessment and evaluation of new natural/herbal drugs and their usefulness in various neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy & Alzheimer’s disease by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
Respiratory System:
1. Assessment and evaluation of new natural/herbal drugs and their usefulness in bronchial asthma by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
Anticancer:
1. Assessment and evaluation of new natural/herbal drugs for their cytotoxic and anti-cancer activity in different cell lines.
Others:
1. Assessment and evaluation of new natural/herbal drugs for diabetes mellitus, oral anticoagulants, estrogenic activity, anti-ulcer potentials.
2. Pharmacogenomics, Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics
