Dr. Aslam Pathan is Consultant Pharmacologist at Prince Hospital, Buldhana, MH, India and Lecturer of Medical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the College of Medicine. He received his D. Pharm from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai (2005),  bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from University of Pune, India (2008), his Master in Pharmacology (2011) and his Ph.D. in Pharmacy / Pharmacology from the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, India (2017). He is recipient of Maulana Azad National Fellowship from University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, India (2012).

Dr. Aslam’s research Interest includes neurosciences and neuropharmacology.

Current research activities:
Neurosciences and Neuropharmacology:
1. Assessment and evaluation of new natural / herbal drugs for their anxiolytics, antidepressant activity by using  authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
2. Assessment and evaluation of new natural / herbal drugs and their usefulness in various neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease & Alzheimer’s disease by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.

Future research activities:
Neurosciences and Neuropharmacology:
1. Assessment and evaluation of nutraceuticals for their anxiolytics, antidepressant activity by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
2. Assessment and evaluation of nutraceuticals and their usefulness in variousneurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease & Alzheimer’s disease by using authenticated in vivo & in vitro animal models.
3. Pharmacodynamics of nutraceuticals on neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease & Alzheimer’s disease.
4. Development of new in vivo and in vitro animal models for assessment of anxiolytics, anti-depressant activity and neurodegenerative disorders assessment including Parkinson’s disease & Alzheimer’s disease.
